Creating a Unified Recruitment Website Experience for Summit Mortgage

The Client
Summit Mortgage is a family-owned, independent mortgage lender serving borrowers across a growing number of states. Known for direct leadership access, underwriting consistency, and strong operational support, Summit gives loan officers and branch managers the flexibility and resources to build their businesses their own way.
The Challenge
Summit Mortgage’s loan officer recruitment efforts had expanded steadily alongside the company itself. Over time, that growth produced multiple recruitment landing pages alongside several careers pages on the main website, and it wasn’t always clear how the pieces fit together.
The pages drew traffic, but it wasn’t translating into results. Credibility content was often housed inside videos and embedded PDFs, multiple calls to action left prospects unsure what to do next, and several issues hindered performance on mobile devices. Taken together, those gaps pointed to a single need: a bold, authentic, guided experience that everyone across Summit could put to use.

The Solution
Our work began with a review of the full recruitment landscape. We audited every landing page and careers page against purpose, branding, trust, content, user experience, calls to action, and imagery, and studied how national lenders and leading independents structure their own recruitment experiences. That analysis led to a clear recommendation to consolidate the scattered pages into a dedicated microsite that would live within the Summit domain while operating as its own distinct experience.
With the approach approved, we handled the project end-to-end: strategy, sitemap, detailed content outlines, design of all pages and templates, and page content built from Summit’s existing material. We then built the microsite, integrated it into their WordPress CMS, and launched.
The result gives Summit a focused destination for loan officer and branch manager recruitment. Credibility content that was once buried now appears as scannable testimonials; each page guides visitors toward a single call to action, and recruiters and managers have one consistent resource to share.
Project Highlights
- Gave the microsite its own navigation and design while keeping it on the Summit domain, so it still benefits from the main site’s established authority.
- Structured the site around the questions prospective loan officers care about most, from culture and support to team and compensation.
- Surfaced testimonials as scannable text blocks rather than housing credibility content in videos and PDFs.
- Simplified each page around a single, easy-to-understand call to action and a low-pressure path to a confidential conversation.
