The Client
Shutterfly Business Solutions (SBS) utilizes the global Shutterfly platform to help enterprise companies improve omnichannel marketing communications, strategies, and workflows. Partnering with SBS, businesses access best-in-class business gifting, direct mail, transactional mail, greeting card, and book publishing solutions.
The Challenge
SBS began as a Shutterfly side project, but it succeeded through hard work and positive word of mouth. After a decade of operating with minimal marketing support, however, SBS realized they needed to solidify their brand and digital presence to attract a larger client roster. Unfortunately, internal stakeholders struggled to tell a succinct, consistent story about their complex offerings. To connect with ideal customer audiences, SBS needed to define their brand, hone their story, and bring it to life through an elevated digital experience.

The Solution
Through an intensive process that included research, workshops, and stakeholder interviews, Olive & Company started by gathering ideas about who SBS was, is, and will become. After sharing our findings and facilitating further discussions with the SBS team, we completed our initial work by assembling a brand platform that defined SBS in sharp detail.
We then shifted our focus to the SBS visual identity. While retaining the essential connection to the Shutterfly brand, we created a refreshed logo and visual styles for SBS before solidifying the look and feel with updated brand guidelines.
With the brand in focus, we started overhauling the SBS website. First, we established a new site architecture and content strategy to highlight brand messaging and engage targeted audiences. We then brought the identity to life through vibrant colors, imagery, and design layouts. From this foundation, we developed a robust digital advertising and content marketing strategy to drive traffic to the SBS website and generate the leads necessary to fuel continued growth.
